Let us finish with a true comic story with 15 frames in a single page. First, this was drawn with a Rotring's Rapidograph, then vectorized with Streamline, coloured under Adobe Illustrator and published in the French Big Illustrator Book, but the frames have been redrawn inside Manga Studio, and in this software we have placed the balloons and drawn the noise effects. According to the recent trend of the Belgian-French comics, when the balloons meet with the border of a frame, the outline of the frame is here interrupted. The possibility of a direct vectorial drawing of balloons without using the automatic balloon feature of the EX version allows, at a given font size, a considerable surface saving. My conclusion is quite simple: I've made some critics along this test, but every comic illustrator except old guys soon to be retired should consider to buy as quickly as possible this fantastic piece of software and especially the EX version.
